Realistically speaking the Ducks will win. I really want the Senators to win though.

- Personally I want Vancouver to win. So let Pronger get an injury or something. Realistically speaking, hmm Ducks will win this. Go go Luongo?!

- Reasonably speaking Buffalo will probably win.
- New Jersey VS Ottawa
- Oh the pain, I quite like both, but i think this one will go to Ottawa. Brodeur is apparently a bit icky lately?
I was talking to a friend about the playoffs on the bus a few days ago so I decided to share.
- Yes, i did secretly wish for the Oilers to lose every game since the Smyth trade. Yes, they only won 2 games between that time and the end of the season.
- I am happy that they won against Calgary for the last game.
- I want them to sign Sykora again although he's sort of kind of useless sort of you know?
- I like Petr Sykora.
- I want the Oilers to sign LeCavalier.
- Yes, i am watching the playoffs..
Playoffs....
I enjoy watching the East. I don't know why. Anyways. Here is my breakdown for the first round / Quarter Finals in who I "think" / want to win/lose.
West
- Nashville vs. Sanjose
- I don't know.
- Dallas vs. Vancouver
- I secretly want Vancouver to lose. But I don't like Dallas. So i think I want Vancouver to win more than Dallas.
- Anaheim vs. Minnesota
- Anaheim must go away. Because of Pronger.
- Detroit vs. Calgary
- Calgary will lose. Well they already are. I hope it continues.
East
- Atlanta vs. Rangers
- I guess Atlanta. For my friend who likes them?
- Ottawa vs. Penguins
- GAGGH SYDNEY CROSBY.... Ottawa. Please! <3 The series is at 2 - 1 in favor of them. Please continue! I "secretly" want Ottawa in the finals. I don't know why.
- New Jersey Devils vs. Tampa Bay
- NJ. Although i like Lecavalier. But Brodeur...

Oilers vs. Flames = 4 - 2 loss - well at least the scored twice. Well thanks to Pisani that is. Perhaps they're not over the fact that Smyth is gone. Well live with it, move on, you have to.
Autograph Session(s) at the mall tomorrow!
So some of the Oilers are positioned in very odd places at the mall. Well the places where there's alot of space, naturally, and, some where people don't go. I reckon the Gilbert, Shaggy, and Thoresen table will not have many people at it because it is Gilbert, Shaggy, and Thoresen, and it being in a place i've never been to actually. Well i've been there once. You see, where they're having the autograph sesions is in "the largest mall in the world" which I can walk most of it in less than 45 minutes. It's not very large. But anyways, they're in such a hick area. You want autographs, go there. Smid, Torres, and Hedja table! Is in the center of "where the road splits" if you were to want to get Baskin Robins or Frozen Yoghurt. I'm more so a frozen yoghurt type of girl so maybe no. HEEY, wait a second, they're in the lower level that means that all the santa stuff should still be out because the mall is having disputes with the people who put that out HAHHAH GENIUS! Unless they took it down recently? Markkanen and Pisani are located near La Vie en Rose aka my favorite bra store.

Mark Messier Day Part 2. so they seriously did announce that today would be "Mark Messier Day". It's official now. They did it at 11am today. Happy Mark Messier day everyone? I don't know why we have so many *insert name* Day! in Edmonton. I think we have one for some deceased country singer, Wayne Gretzky day?, Oilers day (in JUNE), now a Mark Messier day, blah blha balh day. and so forth. Perhaps we should celebrate them more? My dad was noting how the Mark Messier celebrations are more extravagant than the ones Edmonton gave Gretzky. Well, Messier is from St.Albert, Gretzky isn't from around this area.. so uh yes. Horray i guess?

About the Smyth Trade
The thing that amuses me about hockey fan communities is the hysteria. It's like, 1 player doesn't score for 1 game and everyone is saying that he'll never sign, he'll be traded, he'll be benched blah blah blah blah blah. Panic. I think it's funny. Today, Rinslet txt me with the bad news. Ryan Smyth traded to the New York Islanders. At first it was shocking you know? He's the cover boy of the Edmonton Oilers but look at his age...not to say that 30 or 31 is old but what we also got from trading him? If you look at it in a "future" perspective with Lowe seems to be quoted upon alot in the papers lately, think about the future of the team with 204392048 prospects?! We're leaching teams of their prospects in a few years they'll be nothing but dust. Ookay maybe that's pushing it, but really, what can we do with a bunch of younger people? Don't we always say that the "children are our future" blah blah blah. We'll i'm not angry at the Smyth trade. I personally don't think we'll do well in the playoffs if we even get in this year anyways. I won't be angry until July 1st if Smyth isn't an Oiler again.
I was going to school today and gagh Oilers everywhere. I was reminded of my blog. So here it is.
Last two games
- Edm vs. Detroit: 4 - 3 in a shootout! Goal by Smyth while the Red Wings were being too fancy.
- Edm vs. Minnesota: 4 - 1loss
So yes, Tomorrow's game against Phoenix and the retirement of Messier's jersey. Horrray! I guess?
Overall, the game was rather uh offensive? Fights everywhere, penalties. What was with Roy's 4 or 5 penalties? That boy has to keep it together. The Sykora penalty seemed forgivable, same with the Stortini one. The one where he hit Nash right when he came out of the penalty box... ah. Roloson seemed great tonight? Overall i thought it was an interesting game, nothing much to say about it since i didn't exactly watch it...
Today's paper...
In regards to the puck handling by Hemsky in the Ottawa game (oh we lost in overtime. 4 - 3 Ottawa.) Something interesting which I have to share..... well i usually hear a more cruder variation of "Shoot the puck, Hemsky!". I'll let you guess what it is... Yea, the only goals i permit are those by Sundin. He scored twice last night. I watched a bit of the 1st period and it seemed sloppy for me? (yes i only watch Leafs games, i'm sorry... they're always on when i want to watch hockey so why not?) But yes i don't know, from the time I watched it seemed really poor hockey. I can't fully judge as I haven't seen more than 10 minutes of it.
MAB IS TRADED TO NYI! for a Defenceman from Russia... Denis Grebeshkov! and 3rd round NHL entry draft...
