Technically it's game time.  It's like, starting now?!  Anyways, about Roloson not starting tonight..

Did anyone see that interview CTV did with him?  I forgot what the question was exactly but it had to do with him not being starting goalie and if he had the chance would it give him "closure".

Roloson was looking down the entire time, you can sort of see that his eyes are a bit watery and pinkish?, he just said "next question please" a few times.. .no one really answered and he stormed off.

Apparently one of the reasons why Juice is starting is because Roloson was a bit rusty in practice this morning? 

Well, either way, go go go Juice!  <3 

P.S, Juice don't go diving out of the net again please <3           

So the last game against the "worst team in the NHL" ended up the 4 - 0 but with the points going to the other team right? So uh hmmm,  wasn't following the game sorry, but yay for the win?  We can't assume until the next few games whether the new lineup is working on not so don't get overly excited yet.

I am glad they lost.  Before i had this blog, i've been ranting about how the team shouldn't have been depending on Roloson so much.  Yes, Roloson is there to save, he is there to maintain the score, he is there to give the guys an opportunity to win.  I had a feeling that he will tire out and he did.  Roloson "died" last night, and who was it to blame?! 

I did want them to lose last night.  I wanted it to be 10 - 3. I wanted it to be something that they can learn from.  The team has to wake up and realize that in order to win they shouldn't rely on Roloson all the freaking time.  I mean, the last game with Anaheim the entire 3rd period was practically played in the Oiler's zone.    I believed that they deserved to win because Roloson was working wonders, but at the same time I also believed that they deserved the loss they have now due to it. 

I only listened to a little bit of the game on the radio yesterday.  I think Juice did great.  I never even knew that he was back either.  Yay for him :)  I do find it ironic how I turned on the radio, listened to about 5 minutes and the Avs got their 7th goal.  HAH.

So, i have this paper outline due and the Oilers lost... hmm  maybe i shouldn't have watched the game?

16.7 seconds. 

3rd period?  What happened?!  I mean, the Oilers wasn't even there!   Naturally, Roloson was there, but uh where are the others?!

I was so worried that Roloson couldn't hang onto the last few minutes of the game.  He did, but 16.7 WHAT THE HELL. YOU CANNOT EXPECT ROLOSON TO SAVE YOUR butt EVERY SINGLE GAME.  

The Ducks were dominating pretty much the entire 3rd period... gargh... 

Overall, I do feel that the Oilers should have won though.  That last minute goal sort of reminded me of the last game against Detroit.  It felt as if they were going to win but then BOOM!  Gargh.  

Okay, time to write this paper outline now.

Tonight is... Oilers vs. Ducks or as some can say Oilers vs. Chris Pronger or perhaps Angry Hockey Fans vs. Chris Pronger and so forth.

All I have to say is... move on? It's over, let it go.  He's gone.   Okay

I'm going to wait patiently for the game now...and contemplate about my paper.  Perhaps I should move all my books so i can work and watch.. uh yes. very good.

A fine introduction about this Hockey Girl
I don't have cable. I have peasant vision. It doesn't mean that I can watch CBC for hockey. Sometimes my tv doesn't receive that channel well. So, I usually don't watch hockey unless i'm desperate because watching fuzzy hockey isn't very fun. Yes, I can fix the antenna, but that means I have to fix the antenna again for other channels. A lazy girl has got to do what lazy girls do. Turn on the radio <3

The Oilers is my favorite and my home town team. I started watching hockey when I was little because it was one of the things that comforted me when I was home alone on Saturday nights. Since I am a only child, listening to the announcers was something that helped me through those sometimes scary nights. From that, turned into this. This blog isn't exactly your "ideal" hockey blog. Doesn't make much logical sense. I do understand the game, I just don't know how to explain things.

Hockey Watching "Beliefs"

1. If the tv isn't available, I'll bedoing it old school as if television didn't exist! (unless in time of emergency, like last week when the radio cut off during the Oilers vs. Detroit game right when they were going the shootout).
   
2. Internet is for watching hockey highlights and whatnot.   Greatest form of procrastination.
   
3. Watching hockey because so and so hockey player is hot is a  "no no".   You notice them for their skills!  Not looks!

My Thoughts on Eastern Div. Teams and my "Hockey Bubble"
UHHHH.......  i know that NHL.com is biased for the East.  And.... i don't know.  Maybe i'll stick with the West Div.   I mean, I'm really bad at this whole hockey thing.  When i watch hockey it's as if the East didn't even exist.  I was all "uh so who's Ovechin or however you spell and pronounce his name?!".  I'll learn.  Don't worry.   

Current Favorite Players (with no logical explanation)

1. Roloson - Because he's filled with awesome and sparked my interest in hockey again.  Also, i tend to favor goalies for some reason.  Watching Roloson play makes me paranoid of him "dying"...
   
2. Sykora - Because I had a good feeling when the Oilers signed him! AHH!
   
3. Lupul - Rising talent?! 
   
4. Markkanen - Because he's a goalie?!  A goalie I like, but not exactly the one I'd enjoy watching all the time.  For example, that time when he jumped out of the net....I refuse to say that Juice looks like Nick Carter.   It's Juice.  Not Juicy.  Juice or Jussi only!

Apart from hockey I also like....
Jelly fish, bats, the Divine Comedy, not liking Basho's poetry, Genji Monogatari, Akechi Mitsuhide, videogames,  uncomprehendable fangirling, yummy food, eating sashimi and ice cream (but not at the same time) with Pikachu, not eating beef sashimi (beef tataki) with Pikachu, grocery shopping, shopping, finding hockey jerseys and realizing that they don't fit because they're made for little boys and not girls who have boobs, and so forth.

I got dragged into this by Pikachu...  i'll start updating things randomly... eventually...
