- Columbus vs. Oilers = I don't remember. We won though... Sykora scored.
- Canucks vs. Oilers = 5 - 3 Canucks
- Colorado vs. Oilers = 3 - 2 Oilers
Okay i'm done failing Hockey now.
- I don't remember this game. Apart from Juice vs. Conks. Gagh.
- I don't think the last goal "counts". There was no goalie. Lupul got smacked around a bit and was quite aggressive from what i understand in the game. Oh yes, he scored!
- I wasn't at home to watch, no radio available. Gagh
I fail at this.
Tuesday is the game against the Canucks!
The Game...
(that was when Lupul almost scored. I think he tried uh twice was it? I forgot which one was this. But i have a feeling it was in the 3rd period when he turned on his uh "Hockey On" button.) Anyways, I think I understand now, the reason to the losses. My uncle was talking about defence, and well yes it is. I came to conclude the following...
- Hemsky isn't as bad as you think. I think he lacks, I want to say experience but that isn't the case. Let's say the electricity is flicking on his "Hockey On" button. I don't know, the way he plays is amazing, with exception to "hey, buddy you need to take chances and try scoring even if you don't think it'll go in". Yes, I think i know the problem now, Hemsky is too cautious. It's great, sometimes, but when he's in the train of "cautious" thought he seems to lose the puck somehow. Anyways, I do recall clearly tonight when Hemsky was going towards the net with 3 or 4 Kings players trailing him. He went around the net with all that traffic, I thought that he would have lost the puck while behind, but NOOOO.. I recall the weird old men talking about the random players during the game saying that Hemsky should have shot the puck but uh well there were like 3 - 4 Kings players around him, 1 Oilers defence somewhere behind and the goalie ready... I don't know. I sort of understand why he's being cautious, but I don't know, if you don't "do" something nothing happens. Being cautious all the time isn't exactly a great thing, but it is good in some ways? Oh Hemsky....
- Lupul is great when his "Hockey On" button is On. Which was the case int he 3rd period of today's game. He did this "tap tap" with his stick on the ice and off he went. Completely different than when he was in the 1st period.
- Sykora is useful when used sometimes. He has it, but he doesn't deliver. I've become skeptical about him. If i recall Lupul had more ice time than Sykora did.... I didn't really notice Sykora until the 3rd period, although he was around during the 1st. I don't know, I personally feel that if Sykora got traded I wouldn't mind.... well I don't know, I feel as if he's not producing. He IS a "sniper" but uh well hm. Well when you consider shots, he has double the amount that Hemsky has...
- Thoresen oh oh oh oh.....
- Jussi Markkanen I wish MacTavish would let him play more. Juice made some pretty awesome saves today. I clapped for him each time he saved...but unfortunately my claps are inaudible so too bad for me i guess? I lose my voice easily so I can't yell and cheer...so much for being soft spoken.
- I've become skeptical about Roloson. Why does it feel "criminal" liking him? The helmet shaking thing during that Canucks game started it all. I don't know. I don't mind him jabbing at people, but the way people describe it these days it makes him sound sort of bad you know? I really don't know, like, I don't feel as happy to wear #35 as I used to. Compared to say, September.... .... now all i think is "should I get myself a new Oilers shirt?!" I've been thinking of getting a Lupul or a Hemsky one recently... Also i've been thinking of investing a jersey before they change it but I'm saving money for something else. Well I do get paid sometime next week so AH, I don't know. Should I spend my entire cheque on "it"?.....................................
For personal reasons, I wouldn't mind if the Oilers traded.... : Greene (OH DEAR GOSH PLEASE GO AWAY...), Petersen, Bergeron, Winchester, Reasoner (?), uh yea...
I am glad they lost. Before i had this blog, i've been ranting about how the team shouldn't have been depending on Roloson so much. Yes, Roloson is there to save, he is there to maintain the score, he is there to give the guys an opportunity to win. I had a feeling that he will tire out and he did. Roloson "died" last night, and who was it to blame?!
I did want them to lose last night. I wanted it to be 10 - 3. I wanted it to be something that they can learn from. The team has to wake up and realize that in order to win they shouldn't rely on Roloson all the freaking time. I mean, the last game with Anaheim the entire 3rd period was practically played in the Oiler's zone. I believed that they deserved to win because Roloson was working wonders, but at the same time I also believed that they deserved the loss they have now due to it.
I only listened to a little bit of the game on the radio yesterday. I think Juice did great. I never even knew that he was back either. Yay for him :) I do find it ironic how I turned on the radio, listened to about 5 minutes and the Avs got their 7th goal. HAH.
